BASIC INFORMATION

  • All curriculum meets the Entry Level Driver Training requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration
  • Tuition: 100% funding available! 95% of students receive funding to attend class!
    • Class A: $7,000
    • Class B Straight Truck: $5,000
    • Class B Passenger: $5,300
  • Classes start monthly!

  • Must be 18 years or older to obtain Commercial Driver’s License
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Must be able to pass a DOT drug test (cost of drug test included in tuition)
  • Your DOT Medical Card and Commercial Learner’s Permit are required to register for a class

FEES (not included in tuition)

The following fees are not included in tuition and are the responsibility of the student (estimated costs)

  • DOT Medical Card: ~$90-$150 (pending on clinic)
  • Commercial Learners Permit: ~$10
  • Commercial Drivers License: ~$20
  • FMCSA Clearinghouse Query: $1.25
  • CDL Skills Exam Retest Fee (if needed): $250

BASIC CLASS SCHEDULES

Theory/Prework Class: 2 Weeks (Online/In Person)

Theory: Self paced, online modules that you can complete at your convenience. Typically takes around 20 – 30 hours to complete.

Prework: In Person sessions to prepare you for the Behind the Wheel Class. We will work with you on scheduling your Prework class dates. 

Behind-the-Wheel Training: 4 Weeks (In Person)

Behind-the-Wheel  trainings are 4-5 weeks plus CDL Skills Exam (scheduled upon completion of class hours)

Flexible Schedules Available! We will work with you!

Select from:

  • Weekday Morning:
    • Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 11:00am
  • Weekday Afternoon:
    • Monday through Friday, 11:30am – 3:30pm
  • Weekday – 2 days a week
    • Tuesday and Wednesday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
    • This schedule will require 2 Thursday class sessions.
  • Weekend Schedule 
    • Saturday and Sunday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
    • This schedule will require 2 Friday class sessions.

CDL Skills Exam: 2-3 Hours (In Person)

CNM Ingenuity is a certified testing provider for New Mexico MVD

  • Licensing Exam for CDL
  • Three Part Test: Vehicle Inspection, Basic Control Skills, Over the Road Driving
    • Must pass all 3 tests on same attempt
  • Scheduled week following end of class
  • One exam fee included in tuition

We run classes once per month. All schedules are available for 2026.

  • Please Plan Ahead! We are seeing high volumes of registrations! Once seats are filled, we cannot add additional students to a class. The Weekend classes are our most popular schedule and fill in advance. 
  • Prework and Behind the Wheel schedules vary by schedule type. We work with students once registered for classes

Scheduled Maintenance
